Green Beans Almondine

Yield: 6 Servings

Note: The ingredients can be adjusted to whatever amount of green beans you want to cook. The amounts I gave are just approximations.

Directions:

  1. Add green beans to boiling water. Return to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Immediately remove from heat and cool with water and ice. Set aside.
  2. Heat butter in a medium pot. Add almonds. Saute unti the almonds are lightly brown. Careful, the almonds cook quickly in the hot butter and will burn.
  3. Add green beans to butter and almonds and heat through. Sprinke with lemon juice just before serving.
