Green Beans Almondine
Yield: 6 Servings
- 1 lb green beans
- 1/4 lb butter
- 3/4 cup sliced almonds
- lemon juice
Note: The ingredients can be adjusted to whatever amount of green beans you want to cook. The amounts I gave are just approximations.
Directions:
- Add green beans to boiling water. Return to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Immediately remove from heat and cool with water and ice. Set aside.
- Heat butter in a medium pot. Add almonds. Saute unti the almonds are lightly brown. Careful, the almonds cook quickly in the hot butter and will burn.
- Add green beans to butter and almonds and heat through. Sprinke with lemon juice just before serving.
