Ultimate Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies
Yield: 4 dozen
- 4 cups (2 12 oz. packages) chocolate chips
- 2 2/3 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
Preparation: Soften butter. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. I always grease my cookie sheets, even if the recipe calls for ungreased like this one. You're call.
Directions:
- Melt 2 cups (one package) of chocolate chips in a small, heavy-duty saucepan over low heat; stir until smooth. Remove from heat.
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- Beat butter, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla in a large mixer bowl. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in melted chocolate.
- Gradually beat in the flour mixture.
- Stir in the remaing chocolate chips.
- Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake for 8 to 9 minutes or until cookies are puffed.
- Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks and cool completely.
