Ultimate Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

Yield: 4 dozen

Preparation: Soften butter. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. I always grease my cookie sheets, even if the recipe calls for ungreased like this one. You're call.

Directions:

  1. Melt 2 cups (one package) of chocolate chips in a small, heavy-duty saucepan over low heat; stir until smooth. Remove from heat.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Beat butter, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla in a large mixer bowl. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in melted chocolate.
  4. Gradually beat in the flour mixture.
  5. Stir in the remaing chocolate chips.
  6. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 8 to 9 minutes or until cookies are puffed.
  8. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks and cool completely.
