Easy BBQ Shredded Chicken

Yield: 6 servings

Notes: At the end of the this recipe is a list of ingredients for 5 lbs of chicken (2.5 time the original recipe). When Natalie made the larger recipe it generated too much liquid.

Preparation: Chop onion and mince garlic.


  1. Bring everything to a boil over medium heat in a large pot.
  2. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 90 minutes, flipping chicken and scrapping the bottom of the pot occasionally.
  3. Shred chicken in the pot by poking at it with a wooden spoon or using two forks, allowing it to absorb the remaing liquid in the pot.
