Homemade Kahlua #1

Directions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, sugar, water, and the vanilla bean if that's what you are using. Bring to a boil.
  2. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring until sugars dissolve. Gradually stir in coffee; cool.
  3. Pour into 6-cup jar or bottle with a tight fitting lid.
  4. Stir in vodka and vanilla extract if that's what you are using. Close lid.
  5. Let stand at least 2 weeks at room temperature before serving.
  6. Serve as a liqueur, over ice cream or pudding, or as flavoring for milk drinks.
